A: If you'd like to register to become a member of Eggschange Auctions, please click the register tab at the top of home page, or in the footer section on the home page. Fill in the required information including name, address, D.O.B, and please ensure that you have read and understood the Terms & Conditions, then click proceed. Our system will send you an automated email within 10 minutes (usually instantly), which will provide you with a link to activate your account. Once activated you'll have access to all areas of the site. Please note that for security reasons we don't allow the use of free email accounts on this site
A: In Australia an individual cannot enter into a legally binding contract until the age if 18yrs old. As this is an online auction site, and all transactions are a legally binding agreement between the Buyer & the Seller, the minimum age for registration is 18yrs of age.
A: In the interest of keeping this a safe and enjoyable site for everyone to use, we have adopted a policy of blocking all free email accounts from registering. Statistically free email addresses are used on sites like this for the purpose of committing internet fraud, it's often difficult for the providers of these accounts to verify the identity of the account user, which makes it possible for people to hide their identity therefore making it almost impossible to trace them in the event of committing a crime. For this reason, we will not be allowing the registration of a free email account.
A: If you chose to participate in our Seller Verification" program, the first step is to make a payment through PayPal of $1AUD, this ensures that you are using a genuine email account on our site. The second step of our Seller Verification program involves the seller taking a photocopy of both sides of there drivers licence (or other photo I.D) into their local police station to have it officially stamped and verified by a sworn police officer in the state where the seller resides. By doing this it ensures that all seller's who choose to comply with this process, are who they say they are, and they are making no attempt to fraudulently pose as someone else, for the purpose of financial gain by deception. This information will not be sold or disclosed to anyone, except in circumstances outlined in our Privacy Policy. Taking part in this scheme is voluntary, no member is under any obligation to provide any further information, other than what is obtained upon registration, however by agreeing to become a verified seller and upon meeting all requirements, the seller is entitled to a 5% discount on all site fees and commissions. A: In order to list an item for sale on this site, you ust first register as a member. To do this just click the "Register" tab at the top of the page, and follow the onscreen prompts (making sure to fully read & understand the Terms & conditions). Once you have registered and activated your account, you must log in to your account, once this step is complete you can click the "Sell" tab at the top of the page. Select the category you'd like to list in, enter your description and shipping & payment details & upload your photograph's. In the next step you can preview your listing, if you're happy with what you see, click on the proceed button, and that's it, your item is now online and ready for your buyers to see.
A: To keep track of your selling items, please log into your member's area, & click on the "Selling" link, this will open up a screen showing you all your items, whether they have any bids, and also provide you with an option for editing your listing. Please note that once your item has a bid on it, you can only add to the description, and edit your payment or shipping methods, no other changes can be made to your listing.
A: Once your item has sold at auction, the item will be automatically moved into the "Sold" link in your members area. Once you have located the item, there is a drop down menu to the right hand side of your listing, where you can select to send an invoice to your buyer. Once this is done, you must then send a private message to your buyer with your payment instructions. Please note that for security reasons we don't store you bank account information on our servers, the seller will need to provide these details to the winning buyer in the private message.
A: In you members area you'll find a link for "Bidding", this is where all items that you have placed a bid on are stored, and you can track and manage those items from there.
A: Yes, if you have a bid on a particular item, and you are outbid, our system will automatically bid on your behalf up to your maximum which you set at the time of placing your bid.
A: If you are outbid on an item you have bid on, our system will automatically send you an email, so if you choose you can log in to your members area, and place further bids on the item before it ends.
A: If there is a problem with a transaction we encourage both the Buyer & Seller to communicate freely, often problems arise as a result of a simple misunderstanding, and in these cases simple communication resolves the matter promptly and peacefully.
A: In some instances this will be fine, due to strict quarantine laws, live or organic products eg; Fertile Eggs, can't be Imported or Exported into most countries around the world without the appropriate Import/Export Permit/Licence. We advise you to speak to the Agricultural Department and/or Quarantine Department in your country to discuss relevance. That being said, items such as Incubators, Brooders, Feeders, Leg Bands etc.. are allowed to be sent internationally without the requirement of permits.
